I have been to San Francisco many times but for some reason, this last trip was one to remember! My husband’s cousin and his wife moved up for work so we decided to take a skip to San Francisco and we were their first visitors! It is so different visiting a city where you can stay with family. Lucky for us, they haven’t had time yet to explore, so there were a lot of firsts for all of us! The first day, we strolled up Lombard street and what a sight that was.
After cruising around a bit, we meandered our way down a couple blocks and stumbled upon the San Francisco Art Institute. We were pleasantly surprised with what we found.
The views were spectacular!
Later that afternoon, we had to stop by our absolute favorite restaurant in town, Swans! They are the coolest group of guys. If you haven’t been, this is a must! The wait is almost always at least 30 minutes up to over an hour, but I promise it is worth it.
I’m always amazed at the architecture of this city. It has such a east coast vibe.
The view from their apartment was not a disappointment.
We were so lucky to be up there for the full moon! What a gorgeous night.
One of our adventure days consisted of driving across the Golden Gate Bridge, which was a first for all of us! We hiked around and soaked up all the beautiful views. Most of the day was pretty foggy, but still got some great shots.
Our last day was spent in Chinatown, which definitely has to be my favorite part of San Francisco. We started at this amazing tea house and stocked up on Chinese tea.
The owner just so happened to own a dim sum restaurant which was on our list anyway, so he graciously walked us over. THE BEST DIM SUM I’VE EVER HAD! Such a beautiful presentation and the taste was just as delightful! If you ever find yourself in San Francisco’s Chinatown, make sure to stop for a bite to eat at Begoni Bistro!
